Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center Nationally Recognized for Safety

Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center (LHAAMC) has received an ‘A’ in the fall 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Gradea national distinction recognizing achievements in protecting patients from harm and providing safer health careLHAAMC is one of only 16 Maryland hospitals to receive an ‘A’ in the fall 2020 report. 

The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to health care quality and safety. The Safety Grade is a letter grade assigned to all hospitals across the country and updated every six months, assessing how well the hospital prevents medical errors and other harms to patients.

Developed under the guidance of national expert panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses up to 27 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to approximately 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year. Hospitals are graded based on their record of patient safety, helping consumers protect themselves and their families from errors, injuries, accidents and infections.
