COVID-19 Vaccine Information

COVID-19 vaccine, booster, & clinic information

Luminis Health wants to be sure you have the most up-to-date information around the COVID-19 vaccine. By getting vaccinated, you can also help protect people around you—your family, your friends and your community.

The high vaccination rates, coupled with the increased vaccine availability within the community, enables us to revisit the need for the LHAAMC and LHDCMC booster and testing sites. As a result, the vaccination clinics at the Annapolis and Lanham campuses have closed and mobile vaccine clinics ended on June 30.

Our clinic at First United Methodist Church, 6201 Belcrest Road, Hyattsville, MD 20782 will remain open on Tuesdays from 11 am – 7 pm for anyone over 5 years old. We encourage you to visit covidvax.maryland.gov to see a full list of vaccine clinic locations in your area.

The following FAQs are based on Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines only. Please be aware that we continue to update these questions and answers as new information becomes available.

What is v-safe?

V-safe is a smartphone-based tool that uses text messaging and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins after you receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Through v-safe, you can quickly tell CDC if you have any side effects after getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Depending on your answers, someone from CDC may call to check on you and get more information.
